LATEST NEWS 16-22.11 2008 Finnish Parliamentarians Heli Järvinen and Merja Kyllönen participated in a study tour organized by EPF in Tanzania. The study tour focused on the malaria situation of Tanzania and malaria treatment and prevention programs. You can read Merja Kyllönen's travel report in english here. 2-9.8.2008 Väestöliitto and EPF organized a study tour for European Parliamentarians to Mexico. The study tour was connected to the XVII International AIDS Conference: Universal Action Now. The tour focused on Mexico's sexual health and HIV/AIDS situation as well as sexual health supplies. 31.3 -1.4.2008 the Nordic-Baltic Conference "Increasing Europe-Wide Support for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights - Towards the UN High-Level Meeting on HIV and AIDS 2008" was held in Tallinn, Estonia. The Conference gathered Parliamentarians, Government Officials, UN representatives and NGO's from ten countries. Parliamentarian signed The Tallinn Parliamentary Statement of Commitment which underlines the importance of comprehensive sexual and reproductive health approach in the fight against HIV and AIDS.
