Activities in 2006 In November the Riga Seminar continued in Helsinki with the Seminar "Investing in People". The Seminar highlighted global sexual and reproductive health and rights in the broader context of international development, and in the framework of the EU. It also served as a forum for networking and capacity building. One of the aims of the seminar was also to create new links between Nordic and Baltic states. _________________________________________________________________ In January the Seminar "Finnish-Baltic Roundtable on Development and Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights" was held in Riga, Latvia. The Seminar was organised by Väestöliitto (The Family Federation of Finland), APPG and the sexual health organisations of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The conference culminated with a joint declaration signed by Finnish and Baltic MPs. Declaration emphasises both the importance of sexual rights and health in development and the value of joint cooperation between countries.
